ABOUT OUR PUPPIES & HOW TO GET ONE! Whether you are looking for a family companion, sled dog, tracking or search & rescue dog, personal protection, schutzhund, agility or show dog, SILVER MOON SIBERIANS AND VENETIA GERMAN SHEPHERDS have a SIBERIAN HUSKY OR GERMAN SHEPHERD puppy for YOU! Our puppies are ALL registered with THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB. Each litter is carefully planned, and we want everyone of our babies to go to responsible and loving homes. All puppies will be started on their vaccinations, we recommend four in their puppy series of shots, they will also be wormed before going to their new homes, at the ages of 7 - 8 weeks old. They will be temperament tested, and are sold with a health guarantee. We sell on both, FULL and LIMITED AKC registrations. Our puppies are all well socialized, and will have undergone a temperament test on the 49th day, so that we may match them with the appropriate homes. We will help you choose the best one for you, based on your preference of color, sex, temperament, and which one is best suited for your lifestyle. I feel that socialization is the key to training. Once my puppies have their shots, they will be socialized as much as possible before going to their new homes. Then when you come to pick up your puppy, I will work with you and show you easy ways to get your puppy to sit, down, come, and shake. So when you take your new baby home, you will already know how to get your puppy to respond to these commands. We are dedicated to helping new owners start their puppies out right. That's why we are active members of the HILL'S SCIENCE DIET BREEDERS ASSOCIATION, EUKANUBA & IAMS SELECT PARTNER BREEDERS CLUB, THE PURINA PRO CLUB, PEDIGREE BREEDER SERVICES, NUTRO BREEDERS CLUB, KENT FEEDS, and DOGGY BAGS INC. Each one of these organizations offer FREE puppy care kits for new owners. The kits include FREE dog food samples, coupons, a vaccination and health record, product brochures, puppy care books, magazines, carpet cleaning samples, doggy treat samples, and training information. In addition to the pet care kits, your puppy will get an information kit and a bag of goodies from us and our proud parents! It will include all vaccination and worming records, 4 or 5 generation pedigree, AKC registration papers, health guarantee, pictures of the parents, DNA certificates of parents, copies of the parents Brucellosis Test, copies of eye certifications, copies of hip and elbow registations from OFA, and any other health testing that has been done to the parents. You also get copies of any accomplishments of the parents, such as graduation certificates, etc. Each puppy gets it's own FREE ball, and collar! ALL of our ORIGINAL health certificates, pedigree's and AKC papers are all in a book ready for you to view, and you get copies of them for your records. You may also enjoy looking through our many photo books of families with their SILVER MOON or VENETIA PUPPY. Each families picture is taken with their new puppy before they leave and the pictures are all put in our photo books. Each family has their own pages in our photo books! If someone sends us a card, letter, e-mail, or new pictures of their puppy, those are also put into our photo books. Many people really enjoy looking through the photo books to see how the pups have grown and so do we!
We want to be sure our puppies are going to loving and caring homes. When inquiring about one of our babies, we would be interested in knowing the following information:
If you are interested in one of our four-legged friends, you are welcome to contact us ANYTIME by e-mail! Then if you decide on a puppy from one of our litters you are welcome to send a (nonrefundable) deposit, which will reserve a puppy for YOU. After receiving your deposit, we will tell you what pick you will have in the litter. Picks in litter's are based on the order the deposits are received. You will be contacted when the puppies are born, so you can make your pick. Then when they are ready to go, between the ages of 7 and 8 weeks old, we will contact you so we can set up a time for you to pick up your puppy. (The deposit does go towards your purchase of your puppy.) The amount of the deposit is half of the price of the puppy. Your puppy and it's AKC papers can ONLY be released when the balance is paid in full. All payments can ONLY be in the form of CASH. We DO NOT accept checks for the deposit or the final payment. We DO NOT accept Mastercard or VISA, and now due to so many people from Nigeria and the UK trying to scam breeders by sending fake money orders, we will no longer accept money orders! All puppies that need to be shipped, must be paid for in advance by 6 weeks of age. We are know shippers with Delta Airlines/Comair. If you don't live close enough to pick up your puppy, we will be happy to ship your puppy, "IF" you live in the United States. You are welcome to contact Delta/Comair at 877/528-4961 from 8:30am - 4:30pm, for prices on shipping pets, the number listed here is their pet booking and tracking. They can tell you the estimated cost of the ticket, it usually runs between $165.00 - $185.00. If you contact Delta you would need to tell them the following information: The kennel size is: 19 Tall X 27 Long X 20 Wide, pup will weigh around 12 lbs. at 8 weeks old. You will also need to contact us for additional charges which include: trip to the airport, health certificate from our vet so the puppy can fly, (required by ALL airlines), kennel size and price, and shipping costs to mail you the puppy and parent packets, etc. I will do the actual scheduling for the ticket when it is time to ship the puppy. The total average cost of flying a pet is around $250.00, this includes "everything" from the plane ticket, health certificate to fly pet taxi and blanket, all your free stuff and AKC papers, micro-chip papers, parent packs, health guarantee, health record and puppy contract are mailed. This cost is for domestic flights only. Contact us for charges to fly to other countries. We really prefer to meet everyone that gets one of our babies, if at all possible, fly in to pick out your puppy! Your pet can then ride in the plane in a Sherpa-Bag under the seat in front of you if the airlines allows it. Your new baby would be much happier to ride in the cabin with you than in the cargo area, since flying is so very stressful for them. But our puppies do well flying by theirselves too. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. When planning to come pick out your new baby, please be sure to allow PLENTY OF TIME. The average person is here a minimum of 2 hours. I WILL NOT let you just pick out a puppy and leave. I spend a lot of time socializing and working with my pups, and I want YOU to feel comfortable with your new baby, and have as much knowledge as you can, so you can offer the best life for your new family member. I will first take you on a tour to meet all our wonderful dogs and of course, "The Parents". Then it's time to see the pups! The most important thing is for you and your family to spend PLENTY of time with each puppy in the litter to make sure you have chosen the pup that best fits your family and lifestyle. Then after you have selected your puppy, I give each puppy a bath, put it's new collar on, cut it's nails, so your new puppy is beautiful and clean when it goes to it's new home. I talk about feeding your puppy, training, and work with you so you know how to get your puppy to sit, down, come, and shake. I go through each puppies up to date health record, and talk about when it will be due for it's next shots, wormings, what flea and tick control I recommend, as well as heartworm prevention. I will show you how to fill out your AKC papers. Then we go through the puppy contract and health guarantee, your sack of goodies from us. I will also answer any questions you might have. Then I take your picture with your new puppy before I will let you leave with your new family member. I feel this is a VERY important purchase, and I want you to be very happy with your new puppy. YOU are welcome to call or e-mail us if you have ANY questions. OUR PUPPIES/DOGS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME BACK, AND SO ARE OUR CLIENTS! We get heartsick when we read the classified ads stating: "FREE TO A GOOD HOME" - adult dog or puppy". That pet is not an object to merely discard when the owner feels so inclined. It is a living creature with feelings. It's cruel to own an animal for a certain amount of time, sometimes years, and then just get rid of it. Worse still, by giving the animal away for free, it's possible, even probable, the animal will wind up in some research lab. At least, if the animal's in a no-kill shelter, there are strict requirements for that animal's adoption. We've said it time and time again: A PET IS A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. The decision to own a pet requires a LIFETIME commitment to that animal. It means YOU are responsible for the animal's well-being, happiness, and quality of life. To us, it is as solemn of a commitment as raising a child. Before you decide to purchase a pet for your family, PLEASE take into consideration, the cost of owning a pet, the time it takes to train one, and make sure you have time for it, they need attention, just like children do. If you decide to ad a pet to your family, please try to educate yourself on the breed you are planning to get, so you will understand what to expect out of the breed. Take into consideration the type of lifestyle you have and where you live, and pick a breed that is appropriate for you and your family, so your new pet (family member) can live with YOU FOREVER! Thank you for your interest in SILVER MOON SIBERIANS & VENETIA GERMAN SHEPHERDS! Remember, people are ALWAYS welcome to visit our kennels, and meet our wonderful dogs! Happy Puppy Days! Congratulations & Best Wishes To All With Your New Puppy! |
